Online Receipt Generator

About Online Receipt Generator

Online Receipt Generator is a free set of document generators, calculators and guides, built and run by an independent developer in Türkiye.

Online Receipt Generator is a free website for small businesses, freelancers, landlords and anyone who needs a clean business document fast. You type your details, check the live preview and download a PDF. You do not need an account.

Who runs this site

The site is built and run by Evrenus Fırat Polat, an independent developer based in Türkiye. I write the code, choose the topics, write and update the guides, and answer the email. There is no large team behind it and no investor. If something is wrong, you can write to me directly on the contact page.

I started the site because many receipt and invoice tools ask for a sign-up, add a watermark or limit how many documents you can make. I wanted a tool that does one job well and gets out of the way.

What you can do here

  • 18 document generators. Receipt, invoice, quote, estimate, credit note, proforma invoice, purchase order, sales order, packing slip, delivery note, work order, timesheet, account statement, expense report, rent receipt, donation receipt, bill of lading and mileage log.
  • 26 calculators. Tools for tax, margins, discounts, hourly rates, late payment interest and other numbers that come up when you bill a client or price a job.
  • A currency converter. It shows current exchange rates from a public rate service.
  • 7 industry pages. Each one explains which documents a type of business usually needs and how to fill them in.
  • 49 guides. Plain explanations of how to number invoices, what a receipt must show, how to handle tax lines and similar topics.
  • Free templates. Blank invoice, receipt and quote files in Word, Excel and PDF on the templates page.

The site is available in 16 languages. Some guides and pages are not yet translated in every language. Untranslated pages are shown in English.

How it works

The generators run in your browser. When you type into a form, the preview updates on your own device. When you press the download button, the PDF is built on your device with the open-source jsPDF library. The document data is not sent to our server, and we do not keep a copy.

This has some practical results:

  • You do not need an account or a password.
  • We cannot see the documents you make, so we cannot recover one if you close the tab. Download the PDF when you are done.
  • The page does not save your form between visits. Reload the page and the form is empty again.

The privacy policy lists exactly what is and is not collected.

Why it is free

I want the core tools to stay free, with no watermark and no document limit. The site is paid for by advertising. We show ads from Google AdSense, and Google and its partners may use cookies for that. The privacy policy explains this and how to opt out of personalized ads. Google places the ads, and I do not choose which advertisers appear.

How the guides are written

Guides are written to help a person finish a real task. Each guide starts from a question people ask, such as how to number invoices or what to put on a rent receipt. I check the rules against official sources where they exist, for example tax authority pages and the text of the law. I use plain words and short sentences.

Every guide has an "updated" date. I review guides when a rule changes, when a reader reports a mistake, and in regular passes through the whole library. If you find an error, tell me and I will check it and fix it.

Guides and calculators give general information. They are not legal, tax or accounting advice. Rules differ by country, state and type of business. For a decision that matters, ask a qualified accountant or lawyer in your area.

Responsible use

A receipt or invoice is a record of something that really happened. Use these tools only for real transactions that you are entitled to document.

You must not use this site to make fake receipts, invented invoices or altered documents. This includes false expense claims, false tax deductions, false proof of purchase, false proof of payment or any attempt to deceive a person, a company or an authority. That is fraud in most countries, and the terms of use forbid it. You are responsible for the accuracy of every document you create and for following the invoicing and record-keeping rules that apply to you.
